CDS Services and Fees

CDS staff provides personalized support to participants during the application process, throughout the program in Germany, and after returning home.

CDS provides

  • Assistance during the application process including help drafting a Lebenslauf (German resume)
  • Internship placement in a German Landtag
  • Pre-departure information mailing
  • Monthly stipends from the CDS Scholarship Fund and/or the Landtag to ensure a total monthly salary of EUR 500 for U.S. citizens (Please note: Monthly stipends for Canadian citizens cannot be guaranteed; this is dependent on the Landtag)
  • Health insurance (optional)
  • Work authorization services
  • Housing assistance
  • Support throughout the program in Germany and the U.S.
  • Re-entry information about marketing work experience abroad in the U.S.

CDS is proud to say that our fees for internship placements are among the lowest in our field and we are dedicated to remaining an affordable option for young adults to go abroad. The program fee for EMGIP is US$575, which includes a non-refundable $75 application fee. Applications are reviewed only after the application fee has been received.
